You can step down from a more immersive level of care to an outpatient program, or step up to a more immersive level of care from an outpatient program.

Once we learn who you are and what you need – and you identify your personal goals for treatment – we design a plan that gives you the best chance of a successful recovery. Courtney Cox is passionate about helping others in their battle to overcome addiction challenges and live a fulfilling life in sobriety. She has leadership experience in large business growth, both at start-up and established treatment centers. Her own personal experience with recovery makes her dedicated to helping others on their journey of recovery succeed as well.
Jason Batten LPS, ALPS, AADC, MLADC
Regional Clinical Director
Jason Batten is a clinical mental health and substance use disorder counselor holding active licenses in several different states. He received his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and Master of Business Administration both from Liberty University. Jason Batten has been a practicing human service professional for the past 10 years and has held several roles in various agencies ranging from Mental Health Counselor to Director of Operations. Jason Batten specializes in providing general mental health and human service support for people experiencing homelessness, serious and persistent mental illness, and substance use disorders. In Jason’s current role he oversees the clinical programs across kathy ireland® Recovery Centers’ sites. Jason is passionate about person-centered and behavioral therapies that have proven effective with a wide range of clients. Jason believes that effective treatment helps people learn to live well and experience deep meaning and purpose in life
Jillian Cote, LICSW
Jillian Cote a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She comes from a background of inpatient mental health and inpatient substance abuse just before joining the kathy ireland® Recovery Centers’ Laconia team. She has worked with many populations and started her career working with children and adolescents. In Laconia, she shares, “I am excited to be working with those experiencing addiction and helping them to reach their full potential.”
Wendy is kathy ireland® Recovery Centers’ Outreach Coordinator. Serving in the recovery field for more than four years, her journey in helping others started with her work with the homeless whom she provided warm meals and clothing to during the cold, winter months. Wendy enjoys traveling, boating, and enjoying the ocean with her husband, Tom. Together, they have four daughters, three of whom live in NH and one who lives in Virginia. She is very passionate about helping everyone and is very active, and beloved member of our community, where she regularly volunteers.
Sarah Mazzola has Master’s of Nursing from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and a Bachelor’s of Nursing from Simmons College in Boston, MA. With over 10 years of nursing experience, Sarah Mazzola has experience in-patient, outpatient and in the community. Most recently, she has worked in private practice and various in-patient psychiatric settings on the seacoast of NH and MA. She recently moved to Laconia with her husband and three children to be closer to family. Sarah has a passion for dual diagnosis and adolescent mental health and is excited to work with the team at Laconia and is excited to start prescribing Sublocade!
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
Karen is our Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) at Laconia. She received her degree certification from West Virginia Junior College in Morgantown, WV in 2017. Shortly after, she moved to New Hampshire with her husband and daughter.
She loves collecting candles, battery/solar candles, and purses/handbags/totes. She also enjoys spending ample time with her husband and daughter.
Peggy has been working with kathy ireland® Recovery Centers since August 2022 as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has worked as a Nurse Practitioner over the past 20 years. She earned her Master’s Degree in Gerontological Nursing in 2003 at University of Massachusetts Lowell and in 2012 obtained a Post Master’s Certificate in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health. Peggy has been working in the field of addiction for the past 2.5 years, helping clients manage their psychiatric medications for their mental health diagnoses.
